Born in Waterloo, IA, Octavius studied at the Suzuki School of Music while attending high school. He moved to Cedar Rapids, IA, to attend Kirkwood Community College for Liberal Arts and continued traveling and directing music for both gospel artists and choirs.
His musical gifts include playing the piano, organ, and singing. He has a passion for music ministry and for seeing kids learn how to use their musical gifts to be a blessing to the community.
Born and raised in Dubuque, IA, he is a Hempstead and a Dream Center Alumni. He attended Dream Center programs from 2013-2019. Jayden is currently attending NICC to get his business degree.
Jayden enjoys football, basketball, and mentoring youth. He is passionate to see youth grow academically and enjoys them finding their passion for basketball. He is currently our 3rd/4th grade boy’s school connector and Adult Men’s League Coordinator.
Born and raised in Dubuque, Affrica attended elementary school, middle school, college, and graduate school – entirely in Dubuque. She graduated from Emmaus Bible College in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Counseling Psychology and Biblical Studies. She graduated from Loras College in May 2022 with a Master of Arts in School Counseling with Internship placements at Fulton Elementary School and Senior High School. She graduated with a 4.0 cumulative GPA from Loras College.
Affrica has been volunteering at the Dream Center since the building opened 9 years ago and she is excited to see the Organization’s continued growth first-hand. She is passionate about making a difference in the lives of the children and their families at the Dream Center. She especially loves working with children and can’t wait to build a comprehensive school counseling program from scratch to continue serving the children at the Dubuque Dream Center.
Born and raised in Dubuque, Nakiah Kimble graduated from Emmaus Bible College in May 2019, earning her Bachelors in Biblical Studies and Associates in K-12 Education.
She began playing basketball in first grade and continued to play at a collegiate level. She has been involved at the Dream Center since 2015 and looks forward to seeing the growth of this organization and watching the continuous impact the Dream Center will have in our community.
Raised in Atlantic, IA, Tiffany moved to Dubuque in 2021 after graduating from Emmaus Bible College with her Bachelors in Intercultural Studies/Biblical studies and a minor in TESOL.
She began playing sports, including basketball, in 5th grade and carried on playing basketball throughout her collegiate years at Emmaus. During those college years she volunteered in the Dubuque Dream Center Academics and was able to experience different coaching opportunities which helped grow her passion for working with youth and coaching.
ROBERT (JJ) KIMBLE
A resident of Dubuque Iowa since 1989, Robert graduated from Emmaus Bible College with a Degree in Biblical Studies (1999). Following graduation, he joined AmeriCorps Vista and served as Youth Coordinator in East Dubuque, IL, from 2000-2002.
Robert held various positions at the Dubuque Community Y from 2002 through 2013 and also served the Dubuque community as girls’ high school varsity basketball coach at Dubuque Senior High School from 2005-2013.
Robert is currently the Pastor of Radius Church and Executive Director of the Dubuque Dream Center. He is married to Nellie Kimble and together they have five daughters.
Born in Chicago, IL, Latoya moved to Dubuque in 2004 to give her children more opportunity. She has worked in the healthcare field for the past 15 years and is the owner of Ms. Latoya Beauty Supply Store.
With a passion for youth development, she began volunteering in the community and later was hired full-time as a School Connector and Dance Coach. She’s looking forward to upcoming competitions and to continue mentoring the youth in the community.
Kyle Graw comes to the Dream Center after 8 years of coaching at the collegiate level. Kyle led the 2021-22 Emmaus Bible College Men’s Basketball team to the program’s first-ever NCCAA Regional Championship and National Tournament appearance. The team rode a 5 game win streak to the national tournament, and finished the year ranked inside the Top 10 (NCCAA), for the first time in 20 years. Previously, Kyle served as the head coach for Emmaus’s women’s basketball program from 2013-19, leading that program to a regional championship and NCCAA National Tournament appearance in 2018. Additionally, his women’s teams posted 3 conference regular season and tournament championships within the MCCC, along with a ACCA National Championship Runner up trophy.
Kyle is married to Tina Graw and they have 4 kids. Elijah (14), Laila (9), Isabella (4), and Sophia Mary (Newborn). Kyle also serves as one of the elders at Radius Church and is in the rotation for preaching and teaching on Sunday mornings.
